AMP can analyze some random stranger to disguise Pivot!
Since AMP, by my guess, uses hardlight digistruction technology, Pivot theoretically can’t disguise herself into something smaller than her base frame. But since she’s relatively small, a lot of forms are available.
I’m not sure the AMP has been built for that. It’s purpose seems more to serve as a tactical computer for combat situation, and help replicate weapons, tools and gear on the fly. The perfect toolbox and armory, with a side of tactical and analytical support. It’s a secret agent/spec ops’ greatest dream. Well, that and competent superiors.
Pivot comically moving from object to object just so that Socket can’t see her. But Socket is just focused on hosting a game and so does not pay attention to her surroundings. Everyone else notices Pivot and feel somewhat weirded out by her.

Also they both look amazing in those uniforms. If Socket saw Pivot in that suit, she’d probably make a HUGE scene, Pivots cover would be blown to the moon!
I wonder what Socket will think if Pivot does get to keep the outfit like she asked. That is assuming of course she manages to get through this operation without blowing her cover.
I think PV said “girlfriend” because it’s easier to explain than “so you know, there this hot girl out there, that I think I have feelings for but I don’t quite know yet what to think about it, but I like her a lot and I’m pretty sure she likes me a lot too and… oh yeah, she’s here and she will certainly make a scene if she sees me”.
