Think you are onto something with Sigma. Of course could be completely wrong but it would give her an option. Though possibly not for Socket to live here because if she is attacked again, Gladys and…been a while and don’t remember her name but the cute dog girl, would also be in harms way. Socket was the collateral because of the nature of her work and her being unlucky enough to serve Hivemind of all people. She was suspected as a spy by Hivemind, but Pivot cleared those suspicions.
Socket moving with Gladys and Collet while Pivot leaves is the most reasonable choice Pivot would make, if I were in her shoes.
Pivot distances herself from Socket, removing the danger of her work reaching towards her. Plus, Pivot trusts Collet’s innocence and Gladys’s protective nature to keep all three alive. Also, there’s Thrash, who can keep an eye as well.
When Pivot moves to Sigma, she will most likely be working with Flux and possibly, Axle and Gyro. This creates possibly the most versatile team Vigilance can muster since Flux is adept to combat, Pivot can always improve and has good intuition, while Gyro is a wild card and can deliver in the most unexpected ways.
Wait hold on. Given how much illegal shit her landlord is doin to her, socket probably SHOULD be going to sigma. No organization has a lack of lawyers and it’s their job to find criminals. She’s already on their witness protection list.
My bet, sigma hires her as an infiltrator type and gives her free room and board cause of how hard she works.
Apartment upgrade time maybe? Surely with Socket’s income they can afford a somewhat better place and still be individually paying less than what they’re paying now.
